Swiss Bank Offers Ethereum Staking
PostFinance, a Swiss state-owned bank, has expanded its crypto services to include Ethereum staking, enabling customers to earn passive income from their ETH holdings.

Access Staking via PostFinance App
Customers can access the staking service via the bank’s e-finance platform and PostFinance App. Staking rewards are integrated into customers’ existing crypto accounts, offering transparency and seamless management.
Commitment to Security and Transparency
Dr. Alexander Thoma, PostFinance’s head of digital assets, emphasized the service’s use of “native staking” on the Ethereum blockchain for maximum security and transparency.
Collaboration with Sygnum
The launch follows PostFinance’s February 2024 partnership with FINMA-regulated Sygnum Bank, which provides staking services for ETH, XTZ, and ADA.
Growing Adoption in Swiss Banking
In September 2024, Zurich Cantonal Bank also entered the crypto space, introducing Bitcoin and Ethereum trading through Crypto Finance AG.
Future Expansion
PostFinance plans to extend staking services to additional cryptocurrencies, signaling its continued commitment to digital asset innovation.
